Shanghai Art parquet

A spiral of inscribed squares that turn inwards and narrow down to one small square at the centre — about forty pieces in a single module. It is cut into thin wedges, and some of the edges run along an arc. The field is ash and the pattern reads as relief, not as colour. The ash is only a suggestion — with a darker wood the spiral comes out more graphic. A striking floor for a lobby or a shop window.
