Ajour Rosette

A circle in which an inscribed diamond carries a continuous openwork scroll. The ash is the light background, the wenge cuts the lace, doussie adds the brick-coloured accents, and the oak closes the outer ring. The four woods are not a requirement — we change any of them and the pattern reads the same way, only in a different tone. Its place is at the centre of a spacious foyer.
