A diamond with an interlace at its centre — concentric arcs weave into a knot, and along the diagonals palmettes and lilies come out. The field is of short doussie tiles laid in squares; ash writes out the interlace and the lilies, walnut draws the crossed rods and outlines the palmettes, cherry gives their pink body, wenge closes the edge, and the central disc is iroko. Six woods — and each of them is swapped to taste, while the pattern stays unchanged. It sits well in a square room or right under a chandelier.
