The same drawing in a different key: circles, diamonds and four-leaf flowers, cut with curved lines. Doussie holds the large brick-red fields, wenge makes the dark background and the thin stringers along the diagonals, oak appears only in the circles and in the small flowers — three woods, strong contrast. The distribution of the colours is a suggestion: for a softer reading we change the red for a quieter wood, and the pattern stays. Suited to formal areas where the floor can lead.
