Three squares one inside another, each turned relative to the one before it — the simplest frame there is, made accurately. The oak is the outer frame and the central field, the wenge runs between them as a wide dark band and makes all the difference. The two woods are not fixed: the dark band can go warmer, the light field paler, and the squares stay as they are. Twelve pieces per module, all of them cut at an angle.
