Modena Art parquet

A single oak, cut so that the pattern comes only from the direction of the grain. At the centre stands an eight-rayed star, around it — an octagon of trapezoids, and the corners are closed with triangles and a frame cut at 45°. Since there is one wood, the drawing reads by light, not by colour. If you want contrast — we replace some of the pieces with a darker wood and the star comes forward. Suitable for large areas, where a busier parquet would weigh things down.
