Scottish Square Art parquet

Sets of three lamellae interlace at a right angle and the whole weave is turned 45 degrees to the walls. Into the eye of every crossing goes a small wenge square — the dark point that holds the rhythm. Walnut carries the field, wenge is only an accent. The woods shown are a suggestion: we change either of the two and the weave stays the same. A quiet choice for large areas, where the pattern has to read from a distance.
