Versailles Art parquet

A Versailles module: a diamond within a double frame, and inside it four groups of boards turned relative to one another around a small square. Triangular fields are left between the diamonds, also with interlace. Oak is the only wood — the frame differs from the field only in how the light falls on the grain. We also make it in two colours: the frame in one wood, the interlace in another, and the pattern stays the same. An old French pattern that sits equally well in a classical interior and in a quiet contemporary one.
