The light reading of Victoria: an octagonal field, a thin frame with curled ends and one open bouquet in each corner. Oak takes the whole field and the octagon, doussie outlines the corners and the darkest leaves, cherry gives the warm orange petals, and wenge draws the scrolls a hair's breadth wide. The contrast is soft — the pattern reads without becoming heavy. The four woods are a suggestion, not a recipe; we change any one of them and the bouquet stays the same. Suited to light rooms where the floor should not swallow the light.
