A single swirl over the whole panel — a long spiral starts at the corner, curls in towards the centre and closes in a small eye. Oak stays as the ground, doussie gives the dense dark red shoulder of the wave, cherry picks out its inner edge. There are few pieces, but each one is a long curve and has to sit exactly against the next. The woods are not fixed — for a cooler or a warmer reading we change any one of the three, and the movement stays. A strong accent for a spacious room.
