A chain of breaking waves — each one curls into a spiral and picks up the next. The corner is a separate small square with a single wave in it. The wenge is the dark background of the band, the oak holds the field on both its sides and the thin rails, and the ash cuts out the waves themselves. The combination in the photograph is one of the possible ones — we change any of the three woods, the run of the wave does not move. It sits well around a large hall and in an entrance hall.
