Two thin strips run along the wall, and all the work is gathered in the corner — an acanthus scroll that opens inwards into the field. Doussie outlines the strips and the larger leaves, wenge catches the thin contours, ash lights up the core, oak is the ground beneath them. Here we cut curves — every leaf is a separate piece. The woods are not fixed: each of the four is replaced with another to your taste. Suited to a quiet floor that does not want a dense frame.
