A light vine: spirals in pink-red and in deep orange alternate across the light field, and dark leaves sit between them. Oak holds the background, doussie carries the orange scrolls, cherry the pink ones, and walnut cuts the leaves and the thin edge bands. At the corner the pattern changes to a small leafy branch. The combination is not obligatory — any of the four woods can be replaced as you choose, without moving the line of the vine. A narrow frieze for a room where the floor should not become heavy.
