Louis-Philippe Frieze

A classical rhythm: two opposing curves form an hourglass, and small leaves run between them — the module repeats every twenty-two centimetres. Walnut cuts the ornament and the two edge bands, oak stays as the light field beneath it. If you prefer a more contrasting reading, we change either of the two woods — the pattern does not change. It sits well in an entrance hall and a dining room, around a field of herringbone.
