Two wide bands twist together like a rope and change places at every turn. Oak holds the background and lets the twist read from a distance, the doussie is the warm band, the wenge the dark one. In the corner we set a square with an eight-leaf rosette in the same three woods. The combination shown is one option — we replace the doussie with a lighter wood or the wenge with another dark one, and the weave stays as it is.
