A classical move: palmette and tulip alternate between curved leaves, and two solid bands in dark red close the row. The oak carries the background, doussie makes the frames and the tulips, wenge cuts the leaves and the scrolls, ash runs as a narrow cream edging. In the corner there is a separate square with its own small motif. The woods are not fixed: we replace any of the four and the pattern stays.
