A Greek meander that runs without a break along the whole band — a square spiral, repeated at equal steps. The wenge draws the key itself and the two thin rails above and below, the oak stays the background between the turns. At the corner we cut a separate small block with a closed spiral, so that the pattern does not break. The combination in the photograph is one of the possible ones — either of the two woods can be changed for another without touching the drawing. It works well around a field of diagonal boards and in a hallway.
