An arabesque that turns around a small rosette and sets off again — stems, turned-back leaves and one flower on every repeat. The oak is the quiet background, doussie cuts the main ornament, the ash lies over it as a second, lighter layer. The corner gets its own palmette, so that the drawing closes cleanly. The woods here are a suggestion — we change the background or the ornament and the band reads differently, without moving a single line.
