A flowing vine of light spirals and small buds that runs without a break along the whole band; at the corner the motif changes to a bellflower and leaves. Doussie holds the deep reddish background, ash draws every spiral, wenge closes the band with thin stringers. Nothing here is fixed: the background or the ornament can take another wood, and the interlace stays the same. It calls for a room in which the floor is the main thing.
