Diamond Rosette

Sixteen rays meet at a single point — light and dark alternate, long and short, and the star closes into a circle, the circle into an octagon. Ash gives the light points, wenge the dark ones and the outer frame, doussie goes only into the eight short rays and into the thin ring. Oak remains the quiet field between them. The woods shown are a suggestion — we change any of them and the geometry does not change. It sits well in a square entrance hall.
