Crystal Rosette

A square in which rays run out from a small diamond at the centre and cut the field into triangles. A chequered band runs along the diagonals, and in the four corners lie inscribed diamonds with three frames each. Everything is cut straight — not a single curve. Doussie gives the dark red fields, wenge the dark wedges, ash the light ones, oak the golden rays. The combination can be rearranged to taste: we change any of the four woods and the geometry stays.
