Christina Rosette

Eight large petals open the field outwards, while towards the centre everything grows denser — a medallion with thin spirals, leaf clusters and a sun circle of twenty-four wedges in the middle. The lines are hair-fine, so we cut this part as marquetry. Ash holds the light field, oak is the background of the medallion, doussie gives the red, wenge draws the spirals, walnut the leaves. If you are after a warmer or a cooler reading — we change the wood, the pattern does not change.
