Labyrinth Rosette

Three concentric bands of Greek meander turning around a twelve-ray wheel at the centre. Only two woods, but every bend is a separate piece — that is where the work goes. The oak carries the line and the wheel, the dark red doussie is the background that holds it. Since there are only two colours, changing them shows most — you say which of the two should be lighter or darker, and the labyrinth stays untouched. Suits an entrance hall or a corridor, where the geometry leads the eye forward.
