A vine runs around the whole rosette — curved tendrils, leaves and hanging bunches, and at the centre stands an eight-leaf rosette in bloom. The oak holds the two quiet fields, the wenge draws out the thin vines and the outer edge, walnut and ash alternate the leaves, four doussie grapes mark the axes. The combination in the photograph is one of the possible ones — every wood can be changed for a lighter or a darker one, the drawing stays. It works in an entrance hall or a large dining room, where there is room to see the whole of it.
