Guiding Light Rosette

Sixteen rays meet at the centre like a compass rose, and around them runs a wide ring with acanthus curls repeated all the way round the circle. The ash lights up in the rays and in the ornament, the doussie holds the outer frame, the cherry spreads out the middle field, the walnut cuts the curls, the oak runs as thin rings between them. The woods shown are a suggestion — we swap any of them without touching the pattern. Five woods in a single piece.
