A hexagon with six star points, and inside — an eight-petalled flower wrapped in a wavy light band and six stylised tulips. The oak holds the main field and the rays, the ash outlines the light wave and the petals of the flower, the doussie gives the dark red tulips, the star wreath and the thin outer edging. The combination in the photograph is one of the possible readings — each of the three woods can be swapped, the pattern stays the same. It works in the centre of a large entrance hall or salon.
