The pattern starts from a four-leaf core and flies apart into concentric wreaths of diamonds and pointed leaves — like glass that has shattered and set in mid-movement. Ash holds the light fields and the outer edge, oak warms the fan between them, doussie gives the brick-coloured bands, wenge cuts the finest contours, and cherry carries the lighter red tone in the core. The five woods are not fixed — name another combination and we cut it to the same pattern. Suits a light entrance hall or the centre of a large living room.
