The archer is kneeling, the bow is drawn, the arrow sets off to the right — a full-length figure set within the circle. The oak is divided into four sectors with different grain directions and makes the background; walnut gives the body, the limbs, the band on the head and the outer ring; ash lights up in the hair, the bow and the loincloth. Three woods are enough for the whole scene — and each of them can be changed if you want a different reading; the pose and the line stay. It is part of the zodiac series.
