Vortex Rosette

A horse's head in profile, set in a circle, and the mane runs on outwards into a whirl of bands that goes around the whole edge. The head is graded — oak and ash give the light, wenge draws the outlines and the eye, walnut and doussie turn the spiral on the outside. The woods shown are a suggestion; we swap any one of them and the pattern stays as it is. A piece for a foyer, a stair landing, or a room that wants one strong accent.
